The YC4D series engine is used in buses, which is developed based on FEV technology platform, and has the following features and benefits. Firstly, optimized design and flow characteristics of intake system can achieve more intensive combustion, thereby bringing ample power, excellent fuel efficiency, high reliability and ease of maintenance. Secondly, effective cooling for piston by oil sprayed out of its oil jet, enabling engine to maintain high durability and reliability with a high power, while reducing oil consumption significantly. Next, the crankcase ventilation system is designed to control the air pressure balance between the engine crankcase and atmospheric pressure, helping to minimize the amount of piston blow-by gases that escaping around piston rings and into the crankcase. Besides, the specific integration of the fuel system and turbocharger provides the best emissions performance and the lowest operating costs. Finally, the crankshaft damper pulley effectively improves reliability by reducing the torsional vibration of the crankshaft. And dual-balance shaft unit is optional, enabling engine to deliver a quieter and smoother operation.
